Episode 4 - How to Radically Improve Your Financial Habits

Welcome to episode #4 of the Debt-Free Dad Podcast. Today we’re sharing tips to help you radically improve your financial behaviors, so you can grow your bank account, save more money, and pay off debt.

Today we’re turning our focus to financial habits. This is one area where the mainstream media gets it wrong. If you look at the majority of the personal finance articles and stories out there, rarely do they focus on financial habits and behaviors. A lot of them will talk about employment, slow wage growth, the economy, credit scores, the rise in prices, and how it’s hard for the average family to keep up, the cost of living, just to a name a few. But many of these articles miss the point that ultimately the biggest factor that will change your finances is YOU! If you can make better choices, and kick poor financial habits, you can win!

Question of the Show
"Hey guys! I need to get another vehicle. My commute to work is long and I easily put on 400-500 miles per week, so I need something reliable. I am looking at buying a new car, but wasn’t sure if that was my best option? Ideally I would love to not add on anymore debt, but I don’t really see how that’s possible? What would you do?
